Donations can also be made at all performances at Citi Performing Arts Center, proud partners of Globe Santa. A portion of all ticket sales from Boston performances goes to Globe Santa.

Contributions to Globe Santa are tax-deductible as charitable contributions as defined under state and federal laws as provided by IRS Code Section 501(c)(3). Globe Santa provides no goods or services to you in exchange for this contribution. What's more, your company may participate in an employee matching gifts program. Please inquire at your company and take advantage of matching your donation. Donors who contribute $250.00 or more will receive a letter of receipt from the Globe Foundation by mail as your donations are received and no later than January 15, 2012 for IRS tax purposes.

Donor Listings
Beginning in early December, in addition to stories about families requesting assistance through this program, The Boston Globe publishes a list of individuals and groups (8,900 in 2010) who have donated to the Globe Santa Fund. Donations can be made anonymously, in memory of another, one of Santa's Friends, or by identifying how you heard about Globe Santa.

Recognizing the donations in print is done as space allows and in the order that donations are received. In the past we have had many calls from contributors who wanted to know when a particular donation was recognized in print. To give donors immediate access to this information, we have provided the ability to search online to find the publication date of a donation, http://services.bostonglobe.com/santasearch/default.asp.

In addition to the daily stories and lists of donors, we also print pictures of people donating. These pictures typically capture group donations, such as school and local groups, business firms, restaurants, etc.

Groups or organizations are encouraged to call 617-929-2295 to schedule or request a picture when making a donation to Globe Santa.
