Globe Santa could not have grown and sustained over 55 years without the families, children, staff, volunteers, and generous donors who have been part of delivering on the promise each year during the holidays. Globe Santa is all about people who share in the giving.

In 1956 Globe Santa delivered packages to 6,200 families and by 2010 the families had grown to 31,263. The generosity of donors has funded the program throughout the years from $51,000 in 1956 to $1,413,668 in 2010. And the Boston Globe has paid all of the overhead expenses so that 100% of every dollar given goes directly to purchase and deliver the holiday gifts to the children.

2,655,945 children have submitted letters to Globe Santa since 1956.
